Wolf warned to go easy on Hillary |
|
|
According to the Drudge Report, Clinton campaign staff have dropped 'suggestions' that CNN's Wolf Blitzer should avoid pulling "a Russert" in the upcoming debate. They were, of course, referring to Tim Russert's repeated failed attempts to get a straight answer from Hillary in the last Democratic debate.
"This campaign is about issues, not on who we can bring down and destroy," the Clinton insider said.
Evidently, asking a follow-up question of Hillary after she has been quite firm in side-stepping a question is not just off limits, but will now be branded as an attempt to "destroy" Hillary.
Whether Mr. Blitzer folds in fear of such a warning remains to be seen.
Unfortunately for the Clinton campaign, John Edwards, Barack Obama, Chris Dodd, and perhaps other candidates, will certainly not be intimidated. |
